Sue Lamin purchased the Victoria’s business in 2009 from a lady called ‘Victoria’ who was running the shop as a dress agency at the time.

Sue thought about changing the name of the shop but decided to stay with Victoria’s as it was already well known in the local area and thought the name suited the shop and also the building.

Sue decided to confine the dress agency service to the basement level of the shop and revamp the street level to a new clothes, shoes & accessories boutique.

Fast forward seven years to 2016 and due to popular demand for the great selection of shoes, boots & sandals, Sue decided to discontinue the Dress Agency service altogether and create a fantastic shoe haven in the basement which is becoming more popular by the day!

Sue Lamin and Denise of Victoria's Ladies Wear Farsley

It was a natural progression for Sue to become a fashion retailer. From her earliest days of helping her mum in her haberdashery shop in Headingley and her love of art, she progressed to Jacob Kramer College of Art to study Fashion & Business.

After gaining experience at one of Leeds finest emporiums “Schofields” and bringing up three children Sue continued her career in fashion and bridalwear.  With 30 years experience in the business Sue is able to put together styles and colours to suit all bodyshapes.

Like Sue, Denise is also a graduate of Jacob Kramer College of Art. Denise works part time and one of her specialities is window dressing. Using her years of experience Denise creates beautiful eyecatching displays.
